About Us
The story of Kabete Junior Academy (KJA) began in 1983, when Mr. and Mrs. Kinyanjui purchased a 6-hectare piece of land that had once served as the main house of a neighbouring coffee plantation. Driven by their need to find the perfect school for their daughters, Mrs. Kinyanjui and a friend were inspired to start one themselves. What began as a small preschool within their home, renovated into classrooms, has grown into the Kabete Junior Academy we know today.
From the very beginning, the founding principle was to create an inclusive school – a place where children of all backgrounds and cultures could learn and grow together.
Kabete Junior Academy officially began its journey in 1986 with just nine students. Over the years, our commitment to excellence and convenient location have made us a top choice for families in the surrounding communities.
Today, the school continues to grow and evolve under the leadership of a dedicated owner who has been part of its journey for over 39 years. Their passion for education and visionary leadership ensure that KJA remains a forward-thinking school, equipped with modern resources and a commitment to exceptional teaching.
